Abhyanga is an Ayurvedic treatment where warm oil is applied to the body through grounding touch. It facilitates the release of stress from the nervous system, supports circulation, as well as, the dislodging of metabolic waste that is held in the tissues of the body. Note that this is not a deep tissue massage rather it is work that is pacifying vata dosha which is calming and therapeutic for body~mind.

Shirodhara is an Ayurvedic treatment applying a flow of warm oil and herbs to the forehead and scalp. This therapy infuses profound peace within the mind. It slows mental chatter, releases headaches and mental stress to leave you grounded and calm. Coupling this treatment with Abhyanga will take the effects of the oil massage to greater depths.
